1) Main Focus Content of this Position

- Product development detailing according the ACPS Product-Creation-Process () – in cooperation with the Product Engineer of the project.
- the product design in CAD according to the ACPS design guidelines
- the related drawings in line with the ACPS requirements
- the documentation of the development work according to the requirements defined in
- Contribution alignment of work packages with the colleagues from the project team like CAD, FEA, prototype manufacturing validation.
- Utilize the feedback from the feasibility checks the validation steps to the design
- Ensure that the design meets the customer, automotive the ACPS standards
- You are in charge of constructive problem solving together with the team but also with the customer, suppliers, internal other departments.
- You are contributing on improvement activities inside ACPS

2) Main Responsibility Tasks:

1. Concept definition: you are the engineer that converts the product ideas CAD data in the best possible way.

2. Concept detailing validation: you are in charge to detail the defined design related assembly component drawings / models.
You ensure that the data meet the standards.
You do clarify details during the validation steps with the FEA team, the prototype shop, the Testings the homologation team.

3. Functional responsibilities: you are in charge to a design that does meet the defined requirements customer specifications.
You are in charge to ensure that the CAD data drawings meet the customer, automotive, legal ACPS standards.

4. Project work: you drive the product design of the project in cooperation with the Product Engineer.
You do perform packaging checks of customer data, models over time drive maturity of the product design based on the feedback coming from customers, suppliers, feasibility meetings, plants, etc.
You take care of all aspects of product design the related tasks in a self-contained way. You do request offload CAD work to the internal CAT-Service Team if required.
You do actively participate contribute to the teamwork – under the lead of Product Engineer.
You do trigger by yourself the topics like BOMs, drawings related documentation.
You do provide files / information to the project related contacts (like customers, suppliers, plant, …)
You do file the data in line with the defined data structure in the PLM Database.

5. Documentation: you document all relevant points / communication files in line with the tasks the definitions.

3) Competences (Capabilities, Experience, Education, etc.)

1. Experience in the job of product design / CAD Services in mechanical engineering.
2. Very good technical skills regarding CAD systems – especially CATIA (and/NX)
3. Very good experience in creating CAD models drawings
4. Work experience as CAD technician engineer in the automotive sector, CAD Designer, Resident Engineer, Application Engineer.
5. Ideally experience with packaging assessment concept creation in the car, ideally in the rear front end of the car.
6. Good skills regarding requirement, dimensional tolerance assessments (e.g. GD&T)
7. Ideally competences with materials that we do use (steel, plastic, aluminium) related processes (forging, welding, forming, coating, assembly, CNC machining ….)
8. Usable knowledge regarding the technical requirements deriving from the automotive requirements based on VDA, AIAG, ISO-TS 16949, TS 14001 other local market regulations.
9. Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems their use fthe product development activities
10. Technical Engineering Degree (BachelMaster) in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, equal, minimum a degree as CAD Technician.
11. Experience in basic quality tools (8D, measurement data, capabilities, …)
12. Very good skills in the typical Microsoft programs
13. Personality with a high degree in problem solving techniques
14. Experienced to work self-contained focused to driving results
15. Good communication skills social competence towards internal external business partners (customers).
16. Ability to react quickly on changing requirements adopt the related work-content accordingly.
17. Good level of verbal written English communication
18. Ideally experience working with European suppliers, OEMs
