80Monitevaluate state-of-the-art developments in ophthalmic optics, optical principles, concepts, industry trends in collaboration with the CTO.
80Review publications, marketing materials, patents.
80Define criteria ftechnology development establish requirements foptical design, enabling technology, product performance.
Optical development
80Propose evaluate new optical designs principles suitable fophthalmic products, including approaches fpreclinical testing product optimization.
80Provide complete technical documentation.
80As a subject-matter expert, support pilot manufacturing of finished semi-finished ophthalmic lenses using proprietary acrylic polymer materials; based on optical testing methods ensure high process repeatability reproducibility that meet product-performance criteria.
80Conduct development in collaboration with R&D colleagues (primarily the Chemical Scientist Process Engineer), external advisors, academic partners to ensure comprehensive expertise validation.
80Establish optical quality criteria that support process stability repeatability across product types to ensure consistent manufacturing outcomes.
Testing compliance
80Develop optical methods fprocess product testing in collaboration with R&D colleagues.
80Work closely with Regulatory Affairs to maintain regulatory compliance throughout development.
Job Requirements
Education
80PhD in optical sciences physics, preferably in imaging system design testing, material sciences technical optics ftechnology.
Professional experience
80Experience in optical design testing, mathematical methods in optics, theory of aberrations, programming; ray-tracing software; knowledge of the medical-device industry is a plus.
Project coordination
80Ability to help in coordinating optical projects across sites stakeholders.
Language skills
80Proficiental written English.
