WuXiBiologics Protein Analytical Chemistry group is seeking a skilled highly motivated candidate to fill a Sr. Scientist (depending on candidate’s experience) within CRO Sevices department in Shanghai. This position will work collaboratively in cross-functional teams on a range of programs from research protein generation to next generation technology drug discovery initiatives. The candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment to utilize skills in partnership with internal external experts.

Oversee all aspects of structural characterization work of protein therapeutics, including but not limited to SEC, IEX, titer, CE-SDS, icIEF, mass spectrometry
Develop implement novel LC-MS based analytical methods to support in-depth characterization of biologics other new modalities (AAV, mRNA,oligonucleotide etc), including but not limited to intact mass, cIEF-MS, peptide mapping, disulfide mapping glycan analysis
Support technical transfer, training trouble-shooting of protein engineering production fR&D purposes,including but not limited to protein engineering ftherapeutic proteins,humanization affinity maturation of antibodies developability assessment

other novel therapy related work with possibility to support other modalities as opportunities arise.

Direct expertise in the analytical characterization fbiologics and/glycoproteins using peptide mapping, intact protein analysis, including post-translational modification analysis, and/glycosylation elucidation. extensive experience with mass spec-based proteomics analysis (DDA, MRM, PRM et al.) is also preferred.
In-depth knowledge hands-on experience in different types of analytical separation techniques data processing analyses with focus on mass spectrometry applications.
Knowledge of other analytical techniques such as chromatography (HPLC/UPLC), electrophoresis (CE-SDS, icIEF), biophysical methods DNA analysis
Broad expertise familiarity with protein antibody production,drug discovery early CMC development
Thorough understanding of biochemistry, structural biology biologics discovery
Strong problem-solving troubleshooting skills, capabilities in experimental design execution,ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, as well ability to work independently collaborate cross-functionally
