In 2010, Calix China Development Center, "凱易訊," was established in Nanjing Software Valley, located on Software Avenue, with convenient transportation. We are a team of nearly 300 professionals specializing in software hardware development, testing, supply chain management, project management, etc. Our team members come from other renowned companies in the IT Internet industries. We collaborate with multinational teams from the United States, India, other countries to develop core products.
As a member of the global software development team, you will participate in the design development of Software in embedded systems.
After interning with this team fmore over six months, you will:
61Accumulate experience in the entire design, development, testing, operation of enterprise-level software
61Gain programming experience primarily in C, Python, Shell, etc.
61Deepen your understanding of the development environment ecosystem
61Improve your problem-solving analytical skills
61Enhance your experience working in an all-English environment collaborating with international teams
Internship Duration
61The internship can start immediately upon successful interview
61Work 3-5 days per week
61The internship period is 6 months longer
Responsibilities
61Assist in the design, implementation, testing of L2 protocols (e.g., Ethernet, VLAN, DHCP, IGMP, RSTP, Dot
1.X, MPLS).
61Collaborate with seniengineers to develop optimize protocol algorithms.
61Participate in code reviews contribute to maintaining high code quality.
61Conduct performance analysis troubleshooting of L2 network issues.
61Document development processes, test plans, results.
61Stay updated with the latest industry trends technologies related to networking protocols.
Basic Qualification
61Pursuing a bachelor’s master’s degree, graduating in 2026 2027
61Available fan internship lasting 6 months longer
61Majin Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related field
61Hands-on programming experience with C/C++
61Experience with Linux software development
61Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
61Strong verbal written communication skills
Preferred Qualification
61knowledge of Linux user space kernel space interaction, including:
61Understanding of system calls, ioctl, other kernel-user communication mechanisms
61Familiarity with kernel-user data exchange synchronization methods
61Knowledge of network packet processing in the Linux kernel, including:
61Understanding of packet reception, transmission, forwarding in the kernel
61Understanding of the kernels network stack, including socket, TCP/IP, Ethernet layers
61Knowledge of packet forwarding routing mechanisms in the kernel
61Knowledge of Layer 2 protocols, including:
61ARP (Address Resolution Protocol): understanding of ARP request response, ARP cache, proxy ARP
61STP (Spanning Tree Protocol): understanding of STP topology, BPDU, port states
61DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol): understanding of DHCP client server, DHCP lease, IP address allocation
61IGMP (Internet Group Management Protocol): understanding of IGMP snooping, IGMP queries, multicast group management
Allowance
61200-280 RMB per day, adjusted based on the internship stage performance.
